Flying from Perth to Meekatharra on ‘The’ queens birthday, nothing to do but sit in the bar and wait for the holiday to end. It’s not too bad when you get paid for it. You could go look at the dried up river, the only ‘site’ in town being Meekatharra, which means ‘place of little water’ in Aborigine. The morning after it’s time for work; a good 15 minutes worth. The rest of the day; enjoy the spring temperature of 35 degrees and fly back to Perth.

It took me a while, but I’m getting settled in… I got a well paying job, a West Australian drivers license; work prefer me to have a WA license. I got a Bank account, and I must say: Australian banks are rubbish! If SkandiaBanken can hear me now? You have got to start up in Australia! I’ve organized a Tax File Number (TFN) so i can pay my taxes (eh… happy days). In that order… So now I’m just wait for the next pay day.

I finally got around to getting a job. After a lengthy, “slash” permanent holiday, I got a job as a treasure hunter. Technically i am a field assistant, but I like treasure hunter better. With the backing of Gryphon Minerals and Venture Minerals I am looking for any buried treasure like Nickel, Gold, Uranium and Iron.
